Understanding and carrying out the smooth running of the operating theatre is an essential part of veterinary nursing. As well as using this knowledge practically, you will need to understand aseptic preparation, be able to recognise key pieces of equipment, identify roles and responsibilities of each nurse within the operating team and have a good knowledge of suture materials and patterns for your exams - amongst other key bits of information relating to theatre practice.
This revision pack is designed to help you to direct and focus your revision and aid your self-guided study to help you feel more prepared for your exams. Included is a revision guide full of questions, tables and boxes to fill in, as well as resources and games in the additional paid files. I recommend printing the resources, getting creative and colouring/scribbling all over them to incorporate your lecture notes and really make it as interactive as possible.
I have also created some surgical instrument flash cards for you to print and note key distinguishing features/uses in the hope that this will help you remember them easily! Please do not forget, the revision information here is taken from the resources stated but also my own veterinary nursing foundation degree notes and therefore it is important to ensure any other additional content you are required to know is covered in your independent study, If you find this revision pack helpful, please follow me and let me know over on instagram - @megthervn
